Ranking All 30 NBA Franchises From 2000-01 to 2015-16 Using Advanced Analytics
According to the numbers, which franchises have been the best since the turn of the century?

7. Boston Celtics

Surprisingly, the Boston Celtics rate 23rd in offensive rating over the years, despite owning the ninth-best offense in terms of effective field goal percentage. That includes their recent years under Coach Brad Stevens as well as those under Doc Rivers and Jim O'Brien.

At the same time, though, they've played to the second-best defensive rating (103.3), an average nERD of 53.79 and an impressive net rating of 1.5. While they share the same composite score with the Thunder, they have an elite defense and the sixth-best nERD thanks to Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen.
