FanDuel Price: $7,200
Why He Will Go Overlooked:
Brook Lopez has struggled recently, and with back-to-back games under 30 FanDuel points, he's done that in three of his past five. Amid a deep center player pool, Lopez isn't likely to see much ownership tonight.
Why You Should Use Him:
Lopez's recent struggles have been quite uncharacteristic of his overall strong performance this season, and there are plenty of reasons to expect a rebound on Friday. For starters, the Indiana Pacers have allowed the sixth-most FanDuel points to opposing centers. They rank fourth-worst in rebounding rate as a team, and starting center Myles Turner ranks 39th among qualified centers with a 13.6% rebounding rate.
Indiana's deficiencies against opposing bigs is most apparent in their numbers against the pick-and-roll and post-ups, two areas where Lopez is heavily utilized. The Pacers have allowed the highest field goal percentage in the post this season, as well as the most points to opposing roll men in the pick-and-roll.
This game is also expected to remain competitive, as the Pacers are listed as seven-point favorites. Lopez has performed much better in games that have been competitive, and if the game script holds up for this game, he has a good chance for a bounce-back performance.
His recent string of inconsistent play disqualifies him from cash-game consideration, but his discounted price tag and ownership make him an excellent play in GPPs.
