FanDuel Price: $7,800
Why He Will Go Overlooked:
Point guard is absolutely loaded tonight with appealing options at the top end, mid-price range, and value plays.
Isaiah Thomas and Kyle Lowry are both in terrific spots and should see plenty of attention. Jeff Teague is in the best possible matchup for a point guard against the Brooklyn Nets and is $200 cheaper than Mike Conley, so expect a lot of ownership that might have went Conley's way to be deflected by Teague.
D'Angelo Russell has posted back-to-back huge games and should be a value play against the Boston Celtics, while Yogi Ferrell figures to see plenty of ownership as a punt play if Deron Williams sits again.
Why You Should Use Him:
Conley ended January with a bang, dropping 60.7 FanDuel points on the Phoenix Suns, and for the month, his average sat at 37.5 FanDuel points. He posted a disappointing total in his last game, thanks to a 20-point lead, but his 1.2 FanDuel points per minute and 14 shot attempts in just 26 minutes of action are encouraging.
He should build on his strong January in tonight's matchup against Russell Westbrook and the Oklahoma City Thunder, who have struggled to contain opposing point guards. Westbrook has the capability to be a quality defender, but his inattentiveness on the defensive end often results in big games for opponents. The Thunder have allowed the ninth-most FanDuel points per game to opposing point guards this season.
In their last meeting, Conley hung 39.8 FanDuel points on Westbrook and the Thunder, and given the level he has played at recently, it wouldn't be surprising to see a repeat performance. He is a viable play in all formats, and the potential for low ownership is an added bonus.
