When Magic hit the big 30, little did we know the best was yet to come.
After winning 63 games in the regular season, the Lakers were ousted by the Phoenix Suns in the Western Conference Semis, but Magic did all he could for that team.
He reached his career max of .270 win shares per 48 minutes while accumulating 16.5 win shares in 79 games. His box plus-minus of 9.5 was the highest of his career, along with a PER of 26.6. That makes Magic's per-game production pretty clear. While putting up 22.3 points, 11.5 assists and 6.6 rebounds per game, Johnson shot 48% from the floor and was rewarded with MVP honors.
After all was said and done, Magic's 10th season was the single best of his Hall of Fame career.
