The 10 Worst NBA Teams of This Century
Dating back to 2000, which teams do our numbers say are the worst in recent history?

3. Philadelphia 76ers, 2013-14

nERD: 17.9

In the franchise's first season with general manager Sam Hinkie at the controls, and under the "Trust the Process" campaign, the Philadelphia 76ers were at their worst. They ended the year 19-63, though they were probably fine with the outcome because of their increased chances to earn a top draft pick in the lottery.

Their streak of 26 straight losses is tied with only one other team for the longest such streak in NBA history. In contrast, their longest winning streak of the season was just four games, while the team ranked dead last in offensive rating, 7.3 points below the league average.

The team's best player was Thaddeus Young, who led the Sixers with 3.5 win shares in 79 games. Only two other players -- Hollis Thompson and Spencer Hawes -- registered at least 2.0 win shares. That's the sign of a bad team.
