3 Under-the-Radar Daily Fantasy Basketball Plays for 3/6/17
A loaded power forward player pool might keep LaMarcus Aldridge's ownership low despite an excellent matchup against the Rockets.

Ricky Rubio, PG, Minnesota Timberwolves

FanDuel Price: $6,900

Why He Will Go Overlooked:

There is also no shortage of point guard options on Monday, as Stephen Curry, Kyrie Irving, Damian Lillard, Kemba Walker, Mike Conley, Goran Dragic, Derrick Rose, and George Hill all find themselves in good spots for production.

Ricky Rubio is in just a so-so on-paper matchup against the Portland Trail Blazers and isn't likely to be a popular play.

Why You Should Use Him:

Rubio has been an excellent all-around contributor recently, averaging 11.6 points, 6.4 rebounds, 11 assists, and 37.2 FanDuel points. Most recently, he dropped his first triple-double of the season in a tough matchup against the San Antonio Spurs.

Tonight, he should have a much easier time against Lillard and the Blazers.

Lillard ranks 74th among point guards in defensive real plus-minus. This is a matchup he has fully taken advantage of in the past, averaging 38.1 FanDuel points in their last five meetings and 35.2 in their last 11.

What's truly impressive about Rubio's recent streak is that he's averaged nearly 40 FanDuel points while shooting just 41.7% from the floor over his past five games. If he is able to improve on that efficiency tonight in a plus-matchup, his ability to contribute in the counting stats could result in a huge game.

He's not an optimal cash-game play among a loaded point guard position, but his upside makes him an enticing tournament play.
