NBA
3 Under-the-Radar Daily Fantasy Basketball Plays for 4/7/17
With all the big-name power forward options available on Friday, Julius Randle will be overlooked in DFS. Who else joins him as an under-the-radar play?

Gary Harris, SG, Denver Nuggets

FanDuel Price: $6,200

Why He Will Go Overlooked:

The shooting guard position is surprisingly deep on Friday. At the top end, you have James Harden, a heavily-owned player no matter his cost. DeMar DeRozan and Devin Booker are nice higher-priced options out there that will attract more attention than the more moderately-valued Gary Harris. In the same price range, Victor Oladipo will find his way onto more lineups than Harris due to an attractive matchup.

Some players may also be scared off of the Denver Nuggets guard due to the possible return of Will Barton on Friday.

Why You Should Use Him:

Over the last month, Harris has picked up his game, even when Barton has made it onto the floor.

In the last 16 games, the third-year pro has filled up the stat sheet with 17.7 points, 3.2 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 1.6 steals, and 2.0 three-pointers per game while shooting over 55% from the floor. He has averaged 27.8 FanDuel points per night during that stretch and has dropped at least 30 fantasy points in over half of the time.

The 22-year-old's best game since March 6, coincidentally, came against his opponent on Friday, the New Orleans Pelicans. This past Tuesday, Harris posted a stat line of 23 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2 steals for 41.1 FanDuel points in 40.7 minutes of play.

Overall, the Pels rank in the bottom nine in points allowed to opposing shooting guards. The weak defense of E'Twaun Moore -- he ranks in the bottom third of defensive real plus-minus for shooting guards -- will enable Harris to rack up the points even if he cedes some minutes with Barton's return.
