NBA
3 Under-the-Radar Daily Fantasy Basketball Plays for 4/7/17
With all the big-name power forward options available on Friday, Julius Randle will be overlooked in DFS. Who else joins him as an under-the-radar play?

Harrison Barnes, SF, Dallas Mavericks

FanDuel Price: $5,200

Why He Will Go Overlooked:

At the small forward position, LeBron James will likely see a high ownership rate on star power alone. A matchup on paper in the San Antonio Spurs for Harrison Barnes and the Dallas Mavericks' leading scorer will scare money possible owners away. Add in his dismal performance recently -- three games with fewer than 20 FanDuel points in his last four contests -- and Barnes will be lost in the shuffle on Friday.

Why You Should Use Him:

The Spurs are resting three of the best players on their team tonight -- Kawhi Leonard, LaMarcus Aldridge, and Pau Gasol. Without them, San Antonio won't resemble the staunch defense we have come to know and love. While David Lee and Kyle Anderson are competent backups, Barnes will not have the two-time Defensive Player of the Year in Leonard shadowing him all night.

Even with Leonard defending him, Barnes has done well in the three previous meetings with San Antonio this year -- he has averaged 18.7 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game while shooting over 47% from the field. His average of 26.6 FanDuel points in the three games would give him 5x value at his $5,200 price tag on Friday.
