In 2014, the Houston Rockets were loaded. Not only did they have James Harden and Chandler Parsons, but they were home to Dwight Howard and Jeremy Lin, as well. It's no wonder they ranked second and fourth in points per game and offensive rating, respectively.

Their 54-28 record and 68.9 nERD also shouldn't come as a surprise, but what was surprising was the 4-seeded Rockets' early playoff exit at the hands of the 5-seeded Trail Blazers, who ultimately won the series in just six games. It was for that reason that the Rockets were all but dismantled the very next year.
