In 2009, the Trail Blazers broke a streak of five straight seasons absent 50 wins and a playoff berth. They won 54 games on the year and finished it off with a nERD of 69.3 and the league's most efficient offense.

The offense was led by Brandon Roy and LaMarcus Aldridge, who produced 22.6 and 18.1 points per game, respectively. Defense was their downfall when they came up short in the first round of that year's playoffs.
