5 NBA FanDuel Value Plays for 12/12/17
Marcin Gortat could be forced to log heavy minutes in Brooklyn. Who else joins him among the best low-priced targets on tonight's NBA DFS slate?

Maxi Kleber, PF, Dallas Mavericks

FanDuel Price: $3,800
Projected FanDuel Points: 21.7
Projected FanDuel Value: 5.7

Even casual NBA fans and DFS dabbers know that the San Antonio Spurs are good at defense. They're built on solid defensive principles and provide a touch matchup on any given night. And that's especially the case on Tuesday with two-time Defensive Player of the Year Kawhi Leonard ready to make his season debut. But it's unlikely that anyone outside NBA diehards know who Maxi Kleber is.

Kleber, a 25-year-old rookie out of Germany, probably isn't the second coming of Dirk Nowitzki; however, his price and playing time make it difficult not to like him, even against the Spurs. Since being inserted into the starting lineup back on November 17th, Kleber has averaged just 20.8 minutes a game, but over his last six he's seen 25.2 minutes and at least 23 in four of five. In this elevated time, he's proven that he can be productive against any level of competition.

Two weeks back, Kleber had his first breakout game with 16 points and 7 rebounds against the lowly Nets. Last week, he did one better with a 13-point, 5-rebound, 5-block outing against the Boston Celtics and their top-rated defense. If those two games weren't enough, the rook is coming off an efficient 16-point game against the Minnesota Timberwolves, making him a very sneaky tournament play at home and our top point-per-dollar play on tonight's slate.
