NBA Daily Fantasy Helper: Tuesday 12/12/17
If you're new to daily fantasy basketball -- maybe you started your DFS journey during the MLB or NFL seasons, or maybe basketball is your sport and this will be your first year giving it a shot -- you're in for a treat. The NBA scene changes hugely on a week-to-week, day-to-day, and -- depending on injury news -- even a minute-to-minute basis, making every slate a unique one that requires an ever-changing approach.
With so much changing so quickly, we're here with plenty of tools to help you out. We have daily projections, a matchup heat map, a lineup optimizer, and a ton of other great resources to help give you an edge.
We'll also be coming at you with this primer every day, breaking down a few of the day's top plays at each price point.
Let's take a look at who you should target on today's slate.
Best of the Best
LeBron James (FanDuel Price: $12,600): With Kevin Love out on Saturday, James played a huge role for the Cavaliers, commanding the offense with a 41.4% usage rate. He also played a ton of minutes in the frontcourt, leading to a 13-rebound performance. He racked up 30 points, 13 assists and 3 steals in that one, giving him 68.1 FanDuel points -- the second time in his last three games the he had at least 65 FD points. His ridiculous recent production makes him a viable play regardless of how the injury news shakes out (he has fewer than 58 FanDuel points in only three of his last nine games), and the Atlanta Hawks give up top-10 fantasy production to both forward positions. The slight bump in usage and significant bump in rebound rate he'd stand to see if Love and Tristan Thompson (both questionable) are ruled out would make LeBron that much more appealing, though.
