DraftKings Salary: $5,300
The Atlanta Hawks finally committed to Dewayne Dedmon as their starting center, removing Miles Plumlee from the rotation and feeding their talented big man 31 minutes on Sunday. Even in a tough matchup against the Detroit Pistons, Dedmon put up 46.75 DraftKings points. He's averaging 1.03 DraftKings points per minute on the year, so he appears very underpriced if he will continue to see close to 30 minutes per night.
Dedmon has only topped 30 minutes three times all year, so it isn't likely that we're about to see him turn into a 35-minute a night type of guy. However, it is worth noting that he has averaged 39.9 DraftKings points in those games and 29.7 DraftKings points in games he's seen at least 25 minutes of action. If we expect him to hover somewhere around that range, he is well worth a look at a price tag that requires only 26.5 DraftKings points of him.
Our projections agree, expecting him to play 29 minutes and score 29 DraftKings points, which would make him the best value among players priced above $5,000. If he sees that many minutes, Dedmon should have no problem reaching value in a matchup against a Milwaukee Bucks team ranked in the bottom-five in both DraftKings points allowed to centers and rebounding rate. He is a terrific play in any format and one of the strongest point-per-dollar plays on the entire slate.
