Since the Philadelphia 76ers went out and signed Marco Belinelli, J.J. Redick has seen his role diminish, as the team looks to preserve his legs for the stretch run and beyond. In six games since Belinelli came aboard, Redick has played more than 30 minutes just twice, and it's been four games since he's done so. Last night, he logged 29.1 minutes to Belinelli's 23.4. Why target him then?
On Friday, Redick's price is to a point where you can comfortably roll him out in a game script like this. On the year, he's averaging 25.1 FanDuel points and 31.5 minutes per game. Even in his last six, he's at 22 FanDuel points with 14.5 points over 29.6 minutes per game. He has a nice floor, and there's a ceiling there against the Charlotte Hornets.
Nicolas Batum is a good defender, but the Hornets are allowing 40.31 FanDuel points per game to the position in 2017-18. The fact that the Sixers own one of the highest implied totals of the night (109.5 points) makes Redick even more likely to repeat last night's 22-point outburst.
