J.J. Redick isn't the same fantasy play he was earlier in the year. Since the Philadelphia 76ers acquired Marco Belinelli on February 12th, Redick's been playing fewer minutes. In nine games since, Redick's minutes are down from 31.8 to 29.5. The Sixers are deeper (and possibly better) as a team, and that has hurt Redick's upside.
With Redick, there isn't much of a ceiling, but he was never a great tournament option. And, if not for a price drop, he wouldn't be as interesting in cash, but on a five-game slate, his minutes are something we're after at his price of $4,800. He's averaging a respectable 0.79 FanDuel points per minute on the year, and when you consider he's been playing on fresher legs, his scoring might be as consistent as it's been all year.
In the first five games with Belinelli on board, Redick had an adjustment period. He averaged 13 points on 34.4% shooting and 26.3% from three. But since the calendar flipped to March, he's shown us that he's quite comfortable. Over 29.2 minutes a game in that span, Redick has posted 17.8 points per game with 3.3 threes on 59.1% shooting from three-point land and a 21.2% usage rate (trailing only Joel Embiid). We know that he's going to get the minutes, and we definitely know he can shoot.
