Jarrett Allen has watched his role diminish of late. However, it's not clear whether that's a product of the Brooklyn Nets having more healthy bodies, the team's last two matchups or just his overall play. It's probably some combination of the three, but we've seen Allen's upside, and this is a spot to get him in tournaments on a short slate.
There's not a lot of value at center, and there are guys to pay up for -- three above $8,000, to be exact. On top of the overall view of the position, Allen's low minutes (17.1 and 20.2) and poor production (11.6 and 5.4 FanDuel points) in his last two should keep him low-owned against the Charlotte Hornets.
To kick off the second period of the season, Allen faced these same Hornets roughly two weeks ago. Dwight Howard played fewer than 30 minutes as Allen totaled 28.4 FanDuel points with nine points, seven rebounds and two blocks in 26.3 minutes. Even when Howard was on the floor, Allen scored seven points (with 35 team points) in 35 possessions against him, according to NBA.com's matchup data.
Just remember: tournaments only.
