As the Toronto Raptors head into Indiana on Thursday, they're expected to be without the services of OG Anunoby and Norman Powell. They're both listed as doubtful, which would naturally leave C.J. Miles to start at the small forward spot. And with Malcolm Miller no longer with the team, that should mean 25-plus minutes for the veteran sniper.
As a key cog in Toronto's ultra-efficient second unit, Miles has started only three games this season. He's averaged 19.4 minutes in those starts, putting up 11.7 points and 3.0 threes on 41.4% shooting and 45.0% from three. He hasn't contributed much in the way of rebounds (2.0) or assists (0.7), but you never know when he can go for 15-plus points on a hot shooting night. As a matter of fact, Miles has accomplished that feat 10 times this season, and he has required no more than 25 minutes to do so.
Through seven games this month, Miles has enjoyed his best numbers of the season. While logging 20.6 minutes a game, he's turned in 18.4 FanDuel points on 12.1 points, 3.1 threes and a true shooting of 63.9%. So long as Toronto's two young wings sit, Miles' scoring makes him a cheap option against the Pacers.
