It's hard to classify Luke Kennard at this point in time. If Reggie Bullock is out for a second straight game, Kennard would see big minutes and represent one of the best value plays on the board. In the last two, he's played 31.2 and 36.1 minutes with 24.2 and 28.0 FanDuel points, respectively. But, in the event that Bullock returns, Kennard's minutes -- and therefore his floor -- could be in jeopardy.
From February 11th to March 5th, Kennard was back to being an afterthought for Detroit. He played no more than 19.2 minutes in any game while averaging 12.1 per game with three games at or below six minutes. Three games removed from this disappearing act, Kennard could stick in the rotation as a 20-plus-minute guy, even if Bullock returns. And, in the first game back, Bullock could be limited versus the Denver Nuggets.
Gary Harris is a tough guy to go up against on the perimeter. But Kennard has come off the bench for the last two games, which would bode well for his individual defensive matchup with Will Barton or Jamal Murray. Both are in the bottom-11 at their positions in ESPN's defensive real plus-minus.
