At this time, Jarrett Allen is considered questionable ahead of tonight's game against the Heat. He sat out the team's last contest due to an illness and we won't know about his status until after Wednesday's shootaround session. If he sits, though, Ed Davis is as close to a must-play as your lowest-priced player and a candidate for the dropped score spot in your lineup.
On Monday, Davis received 21.3 minutes and yielded 7 points, 14 rebounds and a total of 29.8 FanDuel points. That was good enough for eight points per $1,000, and it caused a $300 bump to Davis' price. Yet that might not be enough if Davis is set to play 21 or more minutes against the Heat.
The Nets will need size to square off with Hassan Whiteside and company, so we could see Davis -- who had four fouls in the last game -- north of 24 or so minutes if Allen were to sit. Davis averages 1.06 FanDuel points per minute this season, so 20-plus minutes could go a long way toward a fruitful fantasy performance.
