Nikola Jokic is another guy who tends to get limited minutes in blowouts, but on the other side of that Lakers/Nuggets matchup, his workload should be fairly safe tonight.
The last 12 games he has played that were decided by fewer than 15 points have seen him average 32.9 minutes, which he has turned into 51.9 FanDuel points per game. He's only posted fewer than 40 FanDuel points in one of those games, and combines that floor with a huge ceiling, hitting 60 FanDuel points four times.
It's not just the potential for a close game that makes this matchup appealing, either.
The Lakers, despite middling ranks in both defensive rating and rebound rate, have been cooked in the frontcourt this year. They're allowing the NBA's fourth-most FanDuel points per minute to opposing centers.
Jokic's numbers haven't been anything special in this matchup so far this year, but that's only a two-game sample, and it includes a 32-point blowout that saw him notch only 22.6 minutes. Expect him to turn that around tonight.
