With the possibility of moving up to sixth in the West and likely avoiding a first-round series against the Golden State Warriors or Denver Nuggets, the San Antonio Spurs have some incentive to win tonight, and this is another spot in which a win shouldn't be tough to come by.
The Dallas Mavericks have nothing to play for but draft lottery odds, and they're on the second half of a back-to-back on the road tonight. They seemed to treat last game -- their home finale -- as their farewell for the season, playing Dirk Nowitzki for almost 33 minutes and running Luka Doncic out for 32. We will likely see some Mavs rest tonight, improving an already soft matchup against a team that ranks 25th in defensive rating and 24th in rebound rate since the All-Star break.
With the Spurs playing for seeding, LaMarcus Aldridge has averaged 34.6 minutes per game over his last 12, putting up 41.6 FanDuel points per game in that stretch. That's just shy of five-times value on today's salary, and with an outstanding matchup in a still meaningful game tonight, we could see an above-average performance out of him to close out the regular season.
