The Oklahoma City Thunder kept themselves out of the number 8 seed in the Western Conference with last night's win, but there's still something to be said for playing to keep out of the 7 seed and avoiding a first-round meeting with the Denver Nuggets.
They aren't likely to have to go all-out to secure a win today, either, taking on a Milwaukee Bucks team that has nothing to play for tonight, and will probably rest at least a couple of key players.
On the second half of a back-to-back in a game that only has a small amount of meaning, paying this high for Russell Westbrook isn't great in a vacuum. But we should get a ton of value on this slate, so you don't have to be as price-sensitive as you do for most of the season.
Russ is averaging 54.7 FanDuel points per game since the All-Star break, and there's nobody else on the slate that has a meaningful game within 5 fantasy points of that average. Even if he doesn't get a full workload, he ranks fifth in the NBA in per-minute fantasy efficiency, so a matchup with a potentially depleted Bucks squad should let him rack up some big numbers in somewhat limited run.
