The 10 Best Single-Game Performances From the 2013-14 NBA Season
Using John Hollinger's Game Score, we take a look at the 10 best individual statistical performances from last season.

3. Kevin Durant vs. Warriors - January 17th, 2014

Game Score: 44.3

No retrospective of the best individual performances of 2013-14 would be complete without an entry from the league MVP, Kevin Durant. Smack dab in the middle of a 12-game streak of scoring 30-plus points, KD scored a career-high 54 to go with 4 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 steals, and 1 block.

He shot 19 for 28 from the field, nailed 5 of his 9 long-range attempts, and went 11 for 13 from the line. This game took place during the period when Russell Westbrook was out to recover from another knee surgery, so Durant’s 38.0% usage rate was basically the norm at the time and made performances like this possible.

At only 25 years of age, Durant already has a large number of transcendent performances under his belt. This one currently stands out at the top with a career-high Game Score of 44.3, but don’t be surprised if he breaks that plain numerous times before all is said and done.
