The 10 Best College Basketball Programs Since 2000
Where do Coach K's Duke Blue Devils rank among the best college programs this century?

1. Duke Blue Devils

Average nERD: 18.49

Along with Kansas, Duke is a cut above. In all reality, they stand alone at the top as the only program with a nERD of 18-plus. They've gone 501-107 with a win percentage of 82.4% over the last 17 seasons.

Among many great seasons, the 2000-01 season was their best. They posted a nERD of 25.1 with 35 wins and Coach K's third national championship in his long tenure at Duke.

On average, Duke has been better than 83.4% of all NCAA defenses each year. But, on offense, they've been better than 95% of teams. While they're just behind Gonzaga in that regard, their defensive efficiency has effectively supported their elite offense.
