The 10 Best College Basketball Programs Since 2000
Where do Coach K's Duke Blue Devils rank among the best college programs this century?

2. Kansas Jayhawks

Average nERD: 17.53

At over 17.5, the Jayhawks are above all others except for one. They, along with the team above them, represent the upper echelon of college basketball programs.

Through the last 17 seasons -- four under the aforementioned Roy Williams and 13 under coach Bill Self -- Kansas has continued their excellence. They are 498-112 in that time, which makes for a win percentage of 81.6%.

It's only right that Kansas' best season, as evidenced by their 21.97 nERD, transpired during their championship season in 2007-08. They won 37 games en route to the Jayhawks' only title in the last 17 years.

During that time, Kansas, on a per-year basis, has been better than 91.8% of teams on the offensive end. In the 89th percentile, they're also close to that same percentile defensively. Their well-rounded approach has made them one of the country's two best programs since 2000.
