The 10 Best College Basketball Programs Since 2000
Where do Coach K's Duke Blue Devils rank among the best college programs this century?

4. Kentucky Wildcats

Average nERD: 15.07

Kentucky marks the first program at a nERD of 15 or higher and separates the elite four programs from the others. In their last 17 seasons, the Wildcats are 457-144, which is a win percentage of 76%. That's not bad, but that win rate jumps to 82.2% in the last seven years under coach John Calipari.

By nERD, Kentucky's best season came under Calipari in 2014-15. They went 38-1 that year, with their only loss in the national semifinal. Their nERD of 22.91 was indicative of just how good their on-court product was.

The same can be said for the program as a whole since the century's turn. Over that span, the Wildcats, on average, have been better than 87.3% percentage of teams per year. Sporting a defense better than 81.3% of NCAA teams, Kentucky has proven to be one of the more balanced teams in the country.
