4 Mid-Majors Poised to Destroy Brackets
There's a shark in the water, waiting to gobble up power-conference softies. Who are they, and how far will they go?

Davidson Wildcats

Seed: 10
nERD Rank: 29

Sure, Steph Curry isn't there, but Tyler Kalinoski is and he's raining treys at a clip higher than Curry ever did at Davidson. In fact, both he and Jack Gibbs shoot over 43% from behind the arc, launching over eleven triples between them.

Remember all of those Creighton/Drake/Valpo teams in the tournament with five skinny white kids who shoot the lights out, invariably taking down a slow, power team from the Big East? That's Davidson, and they're dangerous.

They're power-ranked #29, while first-round opponent Iowa is #25. If you're playing to win your pool, there's no value in taking Iowa there - take the Cats and enjoy the show.
