4 Mid-Majors Poised to Destroy Brackets
There's a shark in the water, waiting to gobble up power-conference softies. Who are they, and how far will they go?

Buffalo Bulls

Seed: 12
nERD Rank: 60

Unlike our first two examples, the Bulls aren't really under-seeded - they're a very efficient offensive team and a middling defensive team. Where they do shine however is on team speed; this team runs a track meet on the court and that's bad news for the over-seeded West Virginia, and the even more over-seeded Maryland.

Out of the entire bracket, no 4-seed has a higher nERD rank than Maryland, landing all the down at #33. The game against WVU will be uptempo, which plays right into Buffalo's hands, so if they can survive the Mountaineers, they've got a great shot at being your Sweet 16 cinderella.
