10 Lessons the 2016 NFL Preseason Has Taught Us So Far
The NFL's regular-season dress rehearsal kicks off Thursday. What have we learned from the preseason already?

The Titans’ Backfield Is One of the Best in the NFL

The Titans have a clear starter right now in DeMarco Murray who needs absolutely no spelling by a backup. Murray’s Rushing NEP per attempt was about league-average in 2015, ranking 23rd out of 44 backs who had 100 or more carries. He’s still shown well enough this preseason in a scheme that fits him even better than the Philadelphia Eagles’ hodgepodge did last year.

But the Titans won’t be able to keep rookie Derrick Henry off the field for very long. Henry has worked primarily against second-teamers, but he’s still doing exactly what you want to see a good running back do against lesser players: dominate them. Henry has 74 yards rushing and a touchdown on 10 carries this preseason. He needs no time to acclimate to the NFL -- he’s doing just fine already. This one-two punch should be an imposing force for opposing linebackers to deal with.
