FanDuel Price: $5,000
To kick things off, we go right to the bottom of the bargain bin and pull out Dak Prescott, who is priced at the minimum salary for quarterbacks.
With a pretty crazy last month in the NFL, Prescott isn't even the only minimum-salary quarterback getting a start this week, but he is certainly the best fantasy option among them.
It's probably wise to not read too much into preseason action, but Prescott was incredible for the Dallas Cowboys. He went 39 of 50 (78%) for 454 yards, 5 touchdowns and 0 interceptions, adding 53 yards and 2 touchdowns on the ground. That's not a stat line any old Blaine Gabbert is going manage, preseason or not.
Prescott also has a great matchup this week, taking on a New York Giants' defense that ranked 24th with a schedule-adjusted 0.11 Defensive Passing Net Expected Points (NEP) per drop back. The Giants also allowed the third-most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks a year ago.
It's hard to overstate how much value there is in a minimum-priced quarterback, a position where even punt plays tend to be at least $1,000 above the minimum. With Prescott showing some solid potential plus his nice matchup, it's hard not to love him this week.
