The Detroit Lions -- who ranked 25th in Adjusted Defensive Passing NEP per drop back in 2015 -- gave up the fourth-most fantasy points to tight ends last season while allowing the second-most fantasy points per target to the position. The 12 touchdowns the Lions allowed a year ago to tight ends was the most of any team.
All of that bodes well for Dwayne Allen, who is expected to be more involved this season in the Indianapolis Colts' high-scoring offense
Speaking of Indy's high-octane attack, Vegas has the Colts projected for 27.5 points this week -- the most of any team. The last time we saw Andrew Luck play a full 16-game season, his tight ends caught 18 touchdowns, and Allen accounted for 8 of those.
Allen will likely see less of a market share than T.Y. Hilton and Donte Moncrief, but he should be heavily involved. He is a high-upside streaming option in Week 1, and he could be useful fairly often this season.
