FanDuel Price: $9,300
Projected Points: 18.66
Julio Jones, who led the NFL with 1,871 receiving yards last season, actually disappointed in Week 1 with only 12.60 fantasy points. He was targeted just eight times in that game. Only twice in 2015 did he see less than 10 targets.
Jones lined up as the left outside receiver on 43% of his routes in Week 1. This week, that will put him across from Sean Smith, who lined up on that side 93% of the time in Week 1. Smith allowed 1.18 fantasy points per route to opposing receivers in Week 1 – the worst of any cornerback in the NFL.
In their Week 1 matchup with the Oakland Raiders, Brandin Cooks and Willie Snead were first and fourth, respectively, in fantasy points among all wide receivers. Jones is a better player than both of those two, and he is our top option at wide receiver this week.
