5 NFL Stats to Know Through Week 2
Washington's run game is nearly non-existent, and Minnesota's has struggles, as well. What should you know about them?

Matt Forte’s 28.9 Fantasy Points Were Second-Most in Week 2

Matt Forte reached the 100 yard rushing mark on 30 carries and found the end zone three times on Thursday night, for his highest fantasy score since the finale of the 2013 season. Cam Newton (29.82 points) narrowly edged him out to claim the top spot on the fantasy charts this week.

The New York Jets are leaning on Forte, despite being 30 years old, as their workhorse. Only DeAngelo Williams (87.88%) has seen a higher percentage of his team’s carries than Forte (78.79%). He has proved that the age is not slowing him down yet, as his 0.04 Rushing NEP per carry ranks 14th among all running backs with 10 or more carries this season.

If he can continue this pace, it would be the most efficient season of his career and the first time since 2012 to 2013 that he improved his efficiency from the previous season.

In Week 3, Forte will take on the Kansas City Chiefs, who rank 18th in the NFL this year with a -1.83 Adjusted Defensive Rushing NEP.
