The New York Giants are in London this week to take on the Los Angeles Rams. The Giants defense has been a bit of a disappointment following an offseason spending spree to upgrade the unit.
According to numberFire's schedule-adjusted metrics, the Giants rank 22nd in total defense.
But this week they face a Rams team that has allowed three top-12 defensive finishes through six games. Case Keenum had maybe the best game of his career last week against the Detroit Lions, but on the season, he has tossed six picks -- sixth-most in the league -- compared to only seven touchdowns. Todd Gurley is the focal point of the Rams' offense, but the Giants have been an above-average unit in run defense, ranking 11th, per our metrics.
Vegas has set the over/under on this game at 44 with the Giants listed as a 3-point favorite.
After showing signs of life last week, if Eli Manning and Odell Beckham can put the Giants out in front, forcing Los Angeles to pass, Keenum and the Rams offense could produce a few turnovers on the day.
