Even with the signing of Christine Michael, we should still be on James Starks as the running back to start from the Green Bay Packers -- at least this week.
Starks is nothing special as a runner, but running back is all about opportunity and situation, both of which working in his favor. The Packers clearly have some amount of faith in him -- he played 91% of the snaps when Eddie Lacy missed in Week 5, and then in his first game back from injury, Starks played 71% of the Packers' offensive snaps in Week 10. He gets an extra bump in value in point-per-reception (PPR) leagues, where his 10 targets over his last two games help contribute to a safe floor.
Starks has an excellent matchup this week as Washington ranks 22nd in Adjusted Defensive Rushing NEP per carry while they have also allowed top-10 fantasy production to opposing running backs on the season.
