Re-Drafting the Quarterbacks From the 2012 NFL Draft Using Advanced Analytics
Five seasons later, how would things be different?

7. Brock Osweiler

Don't let that $72 million contract fool you -- Brock Osweiler isn't a good NFL quarterback. Those were the Broncos' expectations when they drafted with their second-round pick four years ago. But, at least so far, he hasn't proven as much yet.

Through four-plus seasons, Osweiler has tallied just 26.72 NEP. That basically came from his seven starts last year with Denver, when he compiled 26.79 NEP. Prior to that, Osweiler had just -3.51 NEP through three seasons in a backup role.

Since being replaced by Peyton Manning last year and receiving a big deal from the Houston Texans this offseason, Osweiler has failed to produce much of anything positive.

Across 12 starts, the 26-year-old has a measly 3.44 NEP. If he was selected more in line with his production, things might not be exactly the same, but they couldn't possibly be all that different for an adequate quarterback.
