Rex Burkhead didn't do any serious damage last week, but he did see an uptick in volume.
Jeremy Hill is the top-dog in the Cincinnati Bengals' backfield with Giovani Bernard out for the season, but Burkhead has played 47% of offensive snaps over the last two weeks, while Hill has been on the field for the other 53%.
Burkhead saw eight carries and five targets in Week 13 after tallying five carries and two targets in Week 12. With his significant snap numbers, we could see that volume increase even more moving forward.
It won't take a big jump in volume for him to offer some interesting value, as the Bengals are taking on an abysmal Cleveland Browns defense that ranks dead-last in Adjusted Defensive Passing NEP per play, and 28th against the run.
