The 7 Best NFL Rushing Seasons in the Last 10 Years
Which running backs have posted the best, most effective rushing seasons in recent years?

7. Marion Barber III, Dallas Cowboys (2007)

NEP: 31.4

Marion Barber is, by far, the least known name among these outstanding runners. After all, he only lasted seven seasons -- four after his breakout year in 2007 with the Dallas Cowboys.

In his career year, Barber ran for 975 yards and 10 touchdowns. More impressive is that he did so on just 204 carries while averaging 4.8 yards per attempt. He posted just 60.9 yards per contest, but his touchdown total and efficiency per carry are enough to put him in the company of superior running backs.
