The 6 Best NFL Passing Seasons Since 2000
A changing of the guard among elite NFL quarterbacks is inevitable. That doesn't diminish the greatness of this era's passers, though.

1. Peyton Manning, Denver Broncos (2013)

Pass NEP: 278.52

As it relates to Pass NEP, you can see that 2013 Manning is on a whole new level. In his second year with the Denver Broncos, Manning took advantage of his new toys on the outside, and did so to the tune of 5,477 yards and a ridiculous 55 touchdowns.

The then 37-year-old veteran earned a QBR of 81.01 and threw for a career-high 342.3 yards per game, starting all 16 games for the Broncos. After all was said and done, Manning took home the fifth MVP of his illustrious career.

After going 13-3 in the regular season, sadly Denver came up short in the postseason as they lost 43-8 to the Seahawks in Super Bowl XLVIII.
