The West is easily the most critical division in the AFC for Week 17. The Chiefs can either earn themselves a first-round bye or wind up as the last team in the playoffs. Unfortunately for them, there isn't much middle ground.

Right now, the most likely seed for the Chiefs is the 5 seed at 55.78%. Their odds of jumping up to the 2 seed aren't terrible, though, at 33.33%, and there's still a 10.89% chance they finish as the 6 seed.

If we give the Chiefs a win over the Chargers, then their odds of claiming the 2 seed jump up to 51.00%, or the odds that the Broncos beat the Raiders. If the Chiefs lose, they would be the 5 seed with a Patriots win (68.57% odds) or the 6 seed with a Dolphins win (31.43%).
