Complete 2016 NFL Playoff and Seeding Odds Entering Week 17

Washington

Playoff Odds: 68.61%

Washington's scenarios aren't truly confusing unless something absolutely bonkers happens. We'll start with the basic: win and in.

If Washington wins Sunday, they would need a tie between the Packers and Lions in order to miss out on the playoffs. As mentioned, our algorithms have Washington defeating the Giants 68.61% of the time, and that could increase if the Giants -- who are locked into the 5 seed -- decide to rest starters in the game.

Even though we saw two ties earlier this year -- including one with this very same Washington team -- they're not exactly what you would call a common occurrence. There have been 4,320 NFL games from the start of the 2000 season, and only seven of them have ended in ties (0.16%). It can happen, but it's pretty safe to assume that if Washington wins, they're in as the 6 seed.
