Brady also accounted for just over 4,800 yards on 68.9% passing. Teddy Bruschi, Mike Vrabel and Junior Seau made up a Hall of Fame linebacking core, alongside Asante Samuel's team-leading six picks.

In the face of all their greatness, the Patriots lost Super Bowl 42 on a game that came down to one outstanding play -- Giants wideout David Tyree's infamous helmet catch. New York stunned the world and ended New England's bid for absolute perfection, making the 2007 Patriots the best team absent a championship.
