It might be surprising that it took this long, but Adrian Peterson certainly makes the list. In 2012, he won the rushing title and was awarded the league's MVP award.

For an AV of 19, AD averaged 6.03 yards a rush while accumulating 2,097 rushing yards and 12 scores. Through the air, Peterson tacked on 217 yards and a touchdown, leading to a spot on both the Pro Bowl and First-Team All-Pro squads.
