Re-Drafting the Defensive Backs from the 2010 NFL Draft Using Advanced Analytics
Has Eric Berry held down the top spot, or has Earl Thomas taken it from him?

1. Earl Thomas

CarAV: 64

Earl Thomas is the only defensive back to have jumped Berry in the class' pecking order. And he has done so by a wide margin.

It shouldn't be so surprising, all things considered. In seven professional seasons, the Seahawks' safety has generated 407 tackles, 60 pass defenses and 23 picks. This multi-talented defender has even chipped in 10 forced fumbles and 2 touchdowns in 107 career contests.

In two consecutive seasons -- 2012 and 2013 -- Thomas posted a career-high AV of 14. In them, he also supplied a total of 120 tackles, 20 pass defenses and 11 forced turnovers.

Those represent two of Thomas' three All-Pro campaigns and five Pro Bowl seasons. And in the latter of the two, Thomas won an NFL championship.
