The Seattle Seahawks went into this draft looking to swap down, and swap down they did. Center Ethan Pocic plugs the hole that Max Unger left, but they only took two offensive linemen in an admittedly weak offensive line class. Defensive linemen Malik McDowell and Nazair Jones add some interior pass-rush, but inconsistent motors and lacking production make them risky grabs in the top-100 or so picks. Running back Chris Carson adds another body to the backfield, but they still don’t have one overwhelming talent to lead the way.

Wide receiver Amara Darboh had a tough time beating press coverage at Michigan, so he may have been a slight overdraft here in the third round. David Moore is a small-school receiver and will have a huge jump in competition to overcome. Wide receiver was not a need for the Seahawks coming into this draft. The selection of three defensive backs was a little surprising, but this is a clear indication the team isn’t comfortable heading into the season with DeShawn Shead, Jeremy Lane, and the injured Earl Thomas as starters.
