Thanks to an advantageous situation with a re-building San Francisco franchise, Joe Williams should have more opportunities than others at the bottom of the rookie barrel. And, at that, those runners ahead of him -- Carlos Hyde and Tim Hightower -- are pretty similar runners to one another, lacking the same receiving ability as the 23-year-old.
It is for that reason that we expect Williams to produce from outside the backfield (41 catches, 327 receiving yards, and 1.0 touchdown) as well as from it (69 rushes, 274 yards, and 1.2 scores). Not bad for a guy being selected behind both Mack and Jamaal Williams at pick 12.09 in standard leagues.
