10 Fantasy Football Bounceback Candidates for 2017
Don't write off these 10 players just because they had a down year in 2016.

Alshon Jeffery, WR, Philadelphia Eagles

Players changing teams may or may not be the prototypical "bounceback" candidates, but Alshon Jeffery deserves your attention.

Jeffery ranked as the WR8, WR12, and WR9 in PPR points per game from 2013 to 2015 but is being drafted as the WR19 at this point in the offseason. He scored just 2 touchdowns on 94 targets in 2016 with the Chicago Bears, but Alshon's Reception NEP suggested that he should've scored 5.17.

Jeffery actually has underperformed in the touchdown column in two straight years and "should've scored" 4.61 more touchdowns than the 6 he's racked up since the start of 2015.

Among receivers with at least 50 catches, Jeffery has ranked 7th, 12th, 22nd, and 16th in Reception NEP per catch in the past four seasons, with the best finish coming just last year.

New Philadelphia Eagles teammate Jordan Matthews is still dealing with knee tendinitis, and that could open the door for Jeffery to build upon his projected 117 targets. Whether it's from volume or efficiency, Jeffery is a prime bounceback choice in 2017, after his WR55 finish (WR45 in points per game) a year ago.
