Pardon the pun, but life is a breeze when you own Drew Brees in fantasy football. As an added bonus this year, the New Orleans Saints are looking at arguably the NFL's most quarterback-friendly schedule during the fantasy playoffs.
In Weeks 14 and 16, they face the Atlanta Falcons, who gave up the sixth-most points per game in 2016. Here's how Brees did in two games against the Falcons in 2016.
Passing Yards | Touchdowns | Fantasy Points | QB Rank |
---|---|---|---|
376 | 3 | 26.94 | 4th |
350 | 2 | 21.00 | 8th |
In between those soft matchups is a savory home game against the New York Jets. The low-flying Jets gave up the fifth-most points per game in 2016. To paraphrase Uncle Jimmy from the podcast S-Town, Brees is going to score beaucoups and beaucoups of points.
It's also worth noting that all three of Brees' fantasy playoff weeks will be played indoors.
We recently dissected the 2017 NFL schedule and came up with a grade for each quarterback based on strength of schedule and our Net Expected Points (NEP) metric. Looking at every team's Weeks 14 through 16 opponents, Brees has, quite possibly, the Michael Thomas and Willie Snead.
