ESPN Ownership: 33.2%
We're being a little liberal with the 30% cutoff rate here, but it's worth it to bend the rules so we can discuss Carson Palmer, who is in a superb spot this week and is available is basically two-thirds of leagues.
Palmer is on the road, but it's an indoor game against a shoddy Detroit Lions defense. In 2016, the Lions had the league's worst overall defense, per our schedule-adjusted metrics, and they checked in next to last against the pass.
So, yeah, we want to target Detroit.
There are a lot of reasons to believe in a Palmer resurgence this year, and he could kickstart his bounce-back season with a big outing in Week 1 as Arizona boasts a solid 24.75-point implied total. Our models rank Palmer as the ninth-best signal caller for Week 1, and he'll be in a nice spot in Week 2, as well, as the Arizona Cardinals take on the Indianapolis Colts.
