Fantasy Football: 12 Barely-Owned Players to Watch
Chicago Bears running back Tarik Cohen is among the under-the-radar players to keep an eye on in the early fantasy season.

Austin Carr, WR, New Orleans Saints

ESPN Ownership Percentage: 0.1%

Austin Carr was one of the highlights of the preseason, being peppered with targets by the New England Patriots and finishing with 14 catches for 153 yards and 2 touchdowns. He was never really considered a contender to make New England's loaded 53-man roster, even with the aforementioned injury to Julian Edelman. In true Patriots fashion, they tried to stash him away on their practice squad, but he was claimed by multiple teams and ended up on the New Orleans Saints.

New Orleans made it clear that they have plans for Carr, picking him up off waivers and immediately cutting Jake Lampman to make room. The Saints have shown a tendency to give undrafted players real shots, among them Willie Snead and Brandon Coleman.

Speaking of Snead, his three-game suspension gives Carr a chance to make an impact for the Saints. Coleman and Tommylee Lewis likely will get the first opportunities, as they likely have a better understanding of the playbook, but it is worth knowing any name who has a possibility to come into playing time in the Drew Brees-led offense.
